What is your alcohol policy?
Your event is very special and an important day. As the host of a private event, you are responsible for the proper and lawful consumption of alcoholic beverages during the event. Alcoholic beverages must be purchased and served through a catering service licensed in the state of Texas to sell and serve alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages shall not be self-served. Identification and proof of age will be requested from any person who appears to be under 21 years of age. The catering service must follow the laws and regulations of the state of Texas.
El Agave Ranch may ask guests for identification to verify age and reserves the right to ask the entire party to leave if (1) a minor is consuming alcohol; (2) an adult is providing alcohol to a minor; or (3) a guest or guests appears intoxicated and refuses to leave the premises. El Agave Ranch must receive proof at least 30 days in advance that Lessee or persons contracted by the Lessee have valid licenses and permits issued by the state of Texas for selling and/or serving alcoholic beverages. Lessee agrees to fully cooperate with and assist El Agave Ranch, the catering service, and its agents in enforcing the laws of the state of Texas and the policies of El Agave Ranch regarding the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Vendor staff may not consume alcoholic beverages while on the premises during an event.

Outside alcohol, parking lot drinking, flasks, or any other drinking that bypasses the TABC certified bartending service is illegal. Guests committing this crime will be warned, then security is obligated to call the Sheriff, who has the right to shut down the event. We are all required to follow the law.
Can a friend play music instead of hiring a DJ?
Yes.
Can we have fireworks on the property?
Fireworks, including sparklers, are not permitted- insurance limitations.
We are using a rental company. Can they drop items off or pick them up outside of the rental period?
All deliveries and pickups must happen during the rental period. Delivery vehicles may not drive on the lawn.
Do you assist with tasks like decorations among other provisions?
El Agave Ranch has available a list of our favorite, most trusted decorators, caterers, DJs, clean-up services, and other vendors. Just ask! The use of birdseed, flowers, flower petals, and blowing bubbles is allowed outside of the buildings. Rice, confetti, glitter, pyrotechnics, sparklers and similar items are not permitted anywhere on El Agave Ranch’s premises. Use of ladders is at the user’s own risk. Any damages caused by securing decorations results in a fee.
What about clean up?
You’re responsible for returning facilities to clean condition. All trash must be collected, and removed to the trash bins. Event trash on the grounds, sidewalks, roadways and lawns must also be cleaned up and placed in trash bins. A damage/excessive cleanup deposit is required. Any excess cleaning or damage to any room, space, furnishings, and/or equipment by the Lessee or its guests or vendors will result in appropriate charges.
